Back to the meat of my post. I've decided to spend two months training at Keatkhamtorn camp in Bangkok. This camp is renowned for their current champion Nopparat Keatkhamtorn. I chose them for their bangkok style of fighting and their reputation for clinchwork. One of the weakest elements of my game at the moment is my clinch, and I wanted to work that the most while training where they practically invented the clinch. Of course I'll be polishing my other elements of my game as well including my elbows, footwork, rhythm, range, and aggression. Hopefully while I am there, I would like to get one maybe two fights in with full rules.
After 60 days, I'll have to leave for a short bit to renew my visa, so I'll be taking that time to visit my brother in Singapore and visit the OTHER Evolve. Then on my return, I want to check out a couple other gyms in either Phuket or Bangkok. Right now I'm leaning towards two gyms inhttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif Bangkok, Sitsongpeenong & Kaewsamrit (home of Anuwat Kaewsamrit). However, I've gotten so many recomendations to see Phuket and train at Tiger and Rawai, that I'm a little torn. Either way, after about a week back in Thailand, I want to fly over to Vietnam for a week of vacation, and then a week over in India starting in Mumbai. I have a tentative calendar setup for my trip which can be subscribed to here:
Stay tuned for more updates on this blog.
